The Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham African Women’s needs assessment is a survey on the HIV/AIDS prevention needs of African women who live in or work in or use services in LSL.
We would like you to take part in the survey if you are an African woman. Information from the survey will inform on how effective current HIV/AIDS prevention services are and how these can be improved to make them more relevant to African women; therefore the information you give us will be very useful.
All information you give us will be kept in the strictest confidence. Your identity will be anonymous at all times. You do not have to write/give your name before filling the questionnaire. The information you give will not be traced back to you.
| What is the purpose of this survey?
To find out what African women’s HIV/AIDS prevention needs are and inform on how effective current HIV/AIDS prevention services are and how these can be improved to make them more relevant to African women.
What will you have to do if you agree?
Fill out an unnamed questionnaire of about 38 questions. This should take about 15 minutes to complete.
Who is doing the survey?
The survey is being carried out by WoManBeing Concern, KADODO and South London African Women’s Organisation with funding from Lambeth PCT and Health First.
| Some of the questions are of a personal nature – they are there to find out in general the sexual lifestyles of African Women.
If at anytime you do not wish to complete the questionnaire, or do not want to answer some questions, feel free to stop or skip to the next question.
There is nothing in the questionnaire that can be used to identify you personally.
Once again all information you give us will be kept in the strictest confidence. Only members on the research team will have access to the information provided.
The draft report for this project is out. The final report will soon be posted here.
